Ever since Xiaomi was founded, it's expanded from making smartphones to AR glasses, robots, and even cars. And just when you think the firm has created everything imaginable, it's introduced a smart blanket with voice control that also fights mites.

Xiaomi might not be a seasoned veteran in the auto industry, but the electronics-turned-automotive giant is currently one of the hottest players in China’s EV space. That’s largely thanks to the launch of its all-new SUV, the YU7.

Xiaomi has pulled back the curtain on a pair of augmented-reality glasses it's working on called the Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition, which are reported to be among the first in the industry to boast "Retina-level" image resolution.
