Around this time last year, New Jersey's Velotric announced the waterproof Fold 1, a folding ebike "built for adventurers and urban commuters alike." Now the company has added a more capable Plus model to its catalog.

Budget mobility brand Engwe has taken the wraps off the latest generation of its compact L20 fat-tire ebike. The dual-suspension compact hauler can be collapsed down for between-ride transport in the trunk, and comes in hub-drive and mid-drive variants.

Bike Friday has been hand-building custom folding bikes and ebikes since being founded in 1992. Now with some 40,000 bikes shipped, the company has officially announced a new ultralight ebike model called the All Day.

When you think of a folding cargo ebike, you'll likely picture a short- or long-tail model with the rack behind the rider. Germany startup Car.Los Mobility has instead combined the load capacity of a front-loader with the benefits of a folding ebike.

Folding ebikes make a lot of sense for folks who have to factor in trains or buses for the commute to work. But what if you want to venture farther? Brompton's new G Line models are designed "for the city and beyond."

California-based ebike company Blix has launched a folding commuter that can haul over 300 lb, and comes with auto power/gear shifting for optimum riding, can ride as Class 2 or 3, and includes a 70-mile battery.

Brompton went electric back in 2017, and has since launched a number of tasty folding ebikes. But even its lightest is heavier than the Flit M2, and is a good deal pricier too. First announced in 2022, the Brompton killer is now up for pre-order.

Fat-tire ebikes pretty much always make for smile-packed off-road fun, but is one motor enough to power the ride? Oddly named maker Lankeleisi clearly doesn't think so, as evidenced in the X3000 Max adventure folder with dual 1-kW motors.

A couple of years ago, Phoenix-based e-mobility outfit Lectric launched a lightweight folding ebike priced at just $799. The new XP Lite 2.0 adds a few welcome upgrades to the budget-friendly package, while retaining the super-low starting price.

ADO has launched an Indiegogo campaign for what's billed as the lightest carbon folding ebike – at 12.5 kg. That's not the lightest with the Hummingbird Flax ($6250) and Electric ($5,625) both weighing 10.3 kg and the $7995 Yikebike Model C weighing in at 11.4 kg. The ADO Air Carbon is MUCH cheaper though.

Engwe has rolled out a fat-tire folding adventure ebike with full suspension that can be hauled to the foot of the hills in the SUV's trunk, before unfolding and tapping into the Engine Pro 2.0's 1,200 watts of peak motor grunt.
