Last year, we reported on the Noyer, which, like all Minimaliste's tiny houses, is built for extremes in heat and cold. The Canadian firm has now unveiled an updated take on the model which boosts storage and living space.

Stowable ladders and storage-integrated staircases are almost ubiquitous in tiny houses, but not everyone's cut out for climbing into bed every night. The Dark Horse is all on one level and has some nice optional extras like off-grid functionality.

Taylor McClendon moved to Hawaii to run a wedding photography business with his wife Michaella, then the pandemic hit and their bookings were cancelled. They used the downtime to build a tiny house and have now decided to go into business.

Hungarian design collective Hello Wood has created a compact cabin inspired by the tiny house movement. The Kabinka is intended to serve as a no-frills weekend retreat, additional bedroom, or office, and starts at €10,000 (roughly US$12,000).

Minimaliste recently completed a new tiny house based on its popular Magnolia. Featuring the same basic design, but significantly larger, the Magnolia V5's interior is more like a small apartment on wheels than your typical tiny house.

What do you get when you cross a camping trailer, a tricycle, and a boat? Well, if you're Latvian design start-up Zeltini, you end up with the Z-Triton, which is currently in the prototype stage and sleeps two people ... and a small dog.

The Ecocapsule is an egg-shaped off-grid tiny house completed in 2018. For those who like its novel styling but would prefer something more affordable, there's now a cheaper version available that comes without some of the bells and whistles.
